We celebrate Father's Day today. Sometimes the celebration comes with mixed emotions. Maybe your father was harsh. Maybe he was negligent. Maybe you grew up without a father, as I did.
It is possible that you, as a father, wish you had done a better job. What we come to realize is that just like our fathers, every one of us is human; we're not perfect (like our fathers), and we make mistakes.
None of us is able to change yesterday, so have peace about it. However, as we celebrate today, let us commit to doing our best! And remember, as I often say, “Walk in forgiveness (asking and giving), and live in the light of eternity.”
